What a Christmas we had! Addie had a blast. Christmas Eve my mom and I made a nice meal and then opened our family presents. We capped the night off with a good ol' Christmas movie. Addie put out cookies for Santa and was amazed in the morning that Santa had ate them. She got lots of new things to keep her busy, now I just need to find a place to keep it all. Christmas Day we had my whole family over and it was great. I love having a house filled with family. Christmas is the best time of the year in my eyes.

Christmas tree

We went out to find the perfect Christmas tree on Saturday and I think we found it. Addie had a blast running around the trees. She thinks the tree is for Santa.

Winter came out of now where. We went from temps in the 40's to below 0 wind chills. Addie is excited about the snow. She is so interested in touching it. We can't wait for it to get a little warmer so we can actually play outside. Now we just need to find away to make her keep her gloves on.

Santa visited her daycare center yesterday and the teacher said that Addie didn't want him to leave. It is so funny how excited she is about him. She goes through all her Christmas books and points out all the Santa Clauses.

Kirk is pretty excited. He has one week left of work and then he is off for 2 weeks. He has been counting down since Thanksgiving. He will have a couple of quality time days with Addie while I still work that he is really looking forward too. They are so cute together. Whenever Kirk does something to try to make Addie laugh she just says "silly daddy"!

We ventured out to the mall to visit Santa Claus and oh, how excited Addie was. We got to the mall expecting to get a pager to let us know it was our turn with Santa and then hit the stores for a bit. This is how it was last year, unfortunately things changed. They didn't have pagers so we had to wait in line. Addie actually did an amazing job since we stood there for a good half hour. I actually ran into an old friend from high school who was there with his family, one being a 2 year old little boy. So that was fun to catch up and see Addie play. As we waited for our turn Addie was waving to Santa, really cute. Once we got up there she was kind of in amazment to see Santa up close. She knows all about him from her video and us talking to her about it. Once on his lap we had no tears, but she wasn't happy with being left on his lap alone. So in the "professional picture" her arms are reached out to me. Kirk's picture here is better. After, Santa gave her a coloring boo,k which she was pretty excited about. Since then everytime she sees Santa in a book or on tv she says Santa lap and pats her lap. I am looking forward to this Christmas with her. It is fun to see the magic of Christmas through the eyes of a child. Next up is getting our Christmas tree......something she is also looking forward too.
