Addie's Green Thumb

My parents having been staying with us on and off this summer before their big move to Durango and my mom has been helping me with some landscaping. She is very good at knowing what would look good and how to keep it healthy. This is something I hope I get better at. Anyways, Addie has been helping Nanna plant the bushes and water the flowers. She has her own gardening gloves that she wears. She is actually a great help. She is taking after her nanna.

Kellen 1 month old!

It is hard to believe my baby boy is one month old. Time goes so fast. Every day he is more alert and getting bigger. He still has a lot of hair that just sticks up on top. I love it. He can roll from his tummy to his back and is working hard at holding up that heavy head of his. I am loving every minute with my little guy. He is just so amazing.

Cabin Fun!

We just got back from a weekend at the cabin. Addie loves it up there. This weekend she went swimming. Kirk has her kicking and using her arms. She is jumping off the dock and all. She loves it. Her and Kirk caught a Walleye this weekend and too. My mom has the photo on her camera, so I will get it from her to post. Addie was pretty excited. She helped let it go and keeps talking about the fish going out to the deep water with its friends. She also roasted her first marshmellows this weekend. She helped Nanna get sticks to start it and then added dried leaves to it. She loved her marshmellows and they were all over her face. She loves it up there. I must say it is not a very relaxing weekend for me, but I am so excited to see how happy she is.

4th of July

We decided to head to the cabin for the 4th of July. We swam and took the boat out. Addie loves the water and it is hard to get her out. She again got to drive the boat this year and thought it was pretty funny that she hit a wave and splashed everyone in the boat. She is still talking about it. I'm happy to give her these memories because they are pretty special memories that I have of being a child.

Up and at them!

So, Addie is an early riser. I'm talking 5:30-6:00, no matter what time she goes to bed. Needless to say she gets tired in the morning. This one particular morning my mom and I were getting the kids ready to take them to the zoo. Addie was watching an Elmo video on the computer until we found her like this. Asleep, completely out of it and standing up. So funny and cute.
